Bub Weeks was part of the hole in the wall gang and was involved in bank robberies with Butch Cassidy and The Sundance kid . The rumor goes that Weeks stole this gun from a lawman and filed the serial numbers away ( since chemically restored ) and used it for the robberies . Later this gun was carried by Leo Weeks as Under Sheriff of Hays County, Texas . The gun is a SAA in 45 caliber , 4 3/4 inch barrel , ivory grips and was shipped in the white to Hartley and Graham who had it engraved .
