3 rounds with 1 hammer which fires all three rounds with one fall of the hammer .
7 rounds with 2 hammers , 1 hammer shoots 3 rounds ,other hammer fires the other 4 rounds .
9 round rifle 1 hammer fires 4 , second hammer fires 5 rounds .
( all rounds shot as one , so the term volley gun.)
Brass barrel drilled for 3 -- 7 or 9 rounds .
Rifles may be found with 12 rounds or more .
All rounds fired by a single nipple .
Pistol came with a spare preloaded breech unit for quick reloading and firing .
