One of one thousand for A.E. Graff

This Winchester One of One Thousand ( in script ) is believed to be the first one manufactured and shipped on April 22, 1875 . This is the only known One of One Thousand with the marking on the side plate ( inscript ) all guns after the first few were marked on the barrel . This gun has the following inscription on the left side plate in script :" One of One Thousand / A. E. Graff /
Apr. 26 /75 Pittsburgh Pennsylvania ". Mr. Graff lived in Blairsville, Pennsylvania which is a suburb of Pittsburgh.
